While it's most likely tendonitis, I would also be concerned for a specific type of wrist avascular necrosis as well as a possible avulsion-type injury to one of the bones, therefore, in addition to stopping the activity, wearing a wrist brace, and icing, I would highly recommend you see an orthopedic surgeon to get proper X-rays and physical exam as different diagnoses would dictate very different treatment.
