Get to know Family Physician Dr. Wayne Jeffrey Fraser, who serves patients in Lauderhill, Florida.

An established family physician, Dr. Fraser is in practice with Total Health Medical Centers, seeing patients at the Lauderhill 2 Center in Florida.

Total Health Medical Centers is a primary care and multi-specialty group dedicated to the advancement of healthcare in every community it serves. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Fraser obtained his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Jamaica in 1979. He then went on to perform his internship and residency in family medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida.

A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, he is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

With a good bedside manner, Dr. Fraser attributes his success to his dedication to his patients, the friendly atmosphere at his practice, and his ability to listen to his patients and know how to respond to their medical needs. His patients appreciate the care they receive from him.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

Honoring his clinical expertise, Dr. Fraser is the recipient of Patients’ Choice Award (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016).

Outside of practicing medicine, he enjoys listening to music, playing soccer and cricket, and running track and field. His favorite professional publication is the journal, American Family Physician. He speaks English, French, and Spanish.
