Dr. Jeffry R. Nurenberg, a seasoned board certified psychiatrist, has been serving the North Palm Beach, Florida community for nearly forty years. His extensive experience includes a wide range of services such as assessing adult psychiatric disorders, devising comprehensive treatment plans, managing medical interventions, and providing psychotherapy. 

Alongside his private practice, Dr. Nurenberg holds pivotal roles at The Brain Spa, LLC, serves as a Clinical Affiliate Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University - Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, and is a valued member of the medical staff at Jupiter Medical Center.

His past roles include Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at State University of New York, Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at New York Medical College, and Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Furthermore, he has held significant leadership positions such as Inpatient Unit Chief at St. Luke’s Hospital, Director of Partial Hospitalization at Kings County Hospital, and Clinical Director at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital.

Having earned his Medical Degree from Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in 1969, Dr. Nurenberg pursued rigorous residencies at prestigious institutions in New York. Namely, he performed his residency in surgery at Maimonides Medical Center from 1969-1971, his residency in psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Morningside/West from 1973-1975, and his residency in neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia Campus) from 1975-1978.

The doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a dedicated member of the American Psychiatric Association, and holds certification in adult psychoanalysis from the American Psychoanalytic Association.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Nurenberg has a dynamic portfolio of over 16 publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. His research has delved into critical areas of psychiatry, from unraveling psychiatric issues camouflaged as behavioral disturbances to uncovering underlying causes of asymptomatic hyperglycemia in long-term psychiatric inpatients.
