Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Rubilinda Q. Gimena-Casino, who serves patients in St. Louis, Missouri.

Recognized as a top pediatrician, Dr. Casino can be found on staff at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Seeing children of all ages, she specializes in treating conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit disorder (ADD), pneumonia, and Lyme disease among others.

Mercy Hospital St. Louis has been a healing presence in the St. Louis region for more than 150 years. Today, the hospital continues providing compassionate medical and specialty care on their centrally located campus at I-270 and I-64/US 40. Specialty services include oncology, cardiovascular care, obstetrics, women’s health, pediatrics, emergency services, burn care, stroke care, behavioral health, home health, and many others.

Regarding her educational background, Dr. Casino earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 1979. She then went on to complete multiple residencies in pediatrics at New York Medical College and Washington University in 1990 and 1991, respectively.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Licensed to practice medicine in Missouri and California, Casino is affiliated with Mercy Hospital South, Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, and Affton Medical.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
