    Yes, the fat underneath the chin (submental fat) can be removed by 2 methods. One is liposuction, after which a chin strap will be placed for a week or so. Another method to remove submittal fat is by a series of injections to the submental area using deoxycholic acid (Kybella), an FDA-approved medication that works by destroying the fat cells under your chin, thereby improving your profile.   • Is cheek implant surgery painful?

    Thank you very much for your question. In order to place the cheek implants, incisions are made inside the oral cavity and to allow exposure of the cheek bones when you are asleep under general anesthesia. These incisions are later closed with sutures that dissolve over time. There will be some swelling and soreness, especially in the first week or so.
