Get to know Urologist Dr. Patrick N. Ciccone, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey.

An exceptional urologist, Dr. Ciccone is an attending physician at New Jersey Urology, working with patients at their offices in the Belleville and Verona areas. He is recognized for his expertise in many areas of urology especially genito-urinary cancer surgery.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Ciccone earned his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in urology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor is board-certified in urology through the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.

In his professional experience, he was the President of the New Jersey Urology Society and is a member of the Medical Board. He has served on the Board of Governors at Georgetown University. He is also a past President of the Medical Staff at Clara Maass Medical Center, and was previously the Chairman of the Division of Urology.

Dr Ciccone is currently the Board Chair of The Stone Center of NJ as well as Treasurer of NJPCAC.

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.

Featured in the June 1999 issue of New York Magazine as one of “The Best Doctors” in the New York area, Dr. Ciccone was also named in the Castle Connolly Guide titled “How To Find The Best Doctors”, and has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2014), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014).
