Dr. Bazzan is the Medical Director of the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health- Jefferson Health, and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences, Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Bazzan is a pioneer in intravenous micronutrient therapies, including Vitamin C for cancer and immune health. He is one of the country’s top doctors for bio-identical hormone replacement for women and men. Dr. Bazzan is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Integrative and Holistic Medicine, and is fellowship-trained in Geriatric Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition and a scientific member of the Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center. Alongside his clinical role as the Medical Director at The Marcus Institute of Integrative Health, Dr. Bazzan serves on the medical staff in the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University, as an Associate Clinical Member at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and the Division of Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

His previous faculty appointments included the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of West Virginia School of Medicine, and Hampshire Memorial Hospital in West Virginia (where he was Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Medical Staff Treasurer). He also held other positions, including Director of the Functional and Wellness Sciences Institute, PC; attending physician within the Emergency Department of Frankford Jefferson Health Hospital; consulting internal medicine and geriatrics physician at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center (affiliated with Temple University), and attending physician at Friends Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

A prominent professional, Dr. Bazzan is a nationally-renowned expert in bioidentical hormone replacement for treating the symptoms of natural midlife decline in hormone production, nutritional oral and intravenous therapies designed to restore general health or support treatment for cancer and other diseases. A particular focus is dedicated to teaching patients fundamental rules of fostering health.  His practice of meditation spurred an interest in Oriental Medicine and philosophy, thus leading him to an understanding of health and related issues broader than the conventional Western medical model. 

Originally from Verona, Italy, the doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Padua School of Medicine in Padua, Italy. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at Frankford Hospital, residency at Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in geriatrics at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Along this path Dr. Bazzan 

A Fellow of the American College of Nutrition (FACN), he is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and fellowship-trained in Geriatric Medicine. 

Furthermore, he is board-certified through the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, whose vision is to establish and maintain the highest standards of medical care, ignite and sustain the joy and passion of physicians in their work, establish the role of unconditional love as the basis of healing and support, and to recognize the importance of the health of the planet as integral to human health. 

With over three decades of experience in his field, Dr. Bazzan is a frequently invited speaker on the topics of integrative medicine, integrative cancer care, hormone replacement therapy, nutritional medicine, and maximization of wellness. He is co-author of ‘The Great Life Makeover’ and ‘Tapestry of Health’. He has also published peer-reviewed research in integrative medicine, in particular, micronutrient infusions in patients with cancer or neurodegenerative disease.
