Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Dorsey Beggs, who serves patients in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A prominent pediatrician, Dr. Beggs is affiliated with Bebe Care Pediatrics in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She specializes in the care of acute and chronically ill children and newborns. She moved into primary care pediatrics to develop a closer personal relationship with her patients and their families.

Back in 1997, she graduated from the University of New Mexico Medical School in 1997. Thereafter, she completed her residency in pediatrics at UNM Children’s Hospital in 2000. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Dr. Beggs served as a pediatric hospitalist in Denver, Colorado from 2000 through 2006, and then went on to join Presbyterian Hospital. She joined Bebe Care Pediatrics in 2015.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
