Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Eric Whitehouse, who serves patients in Westfield, New Jersey.

Committed to creating a healthier community, Dr. Whitehouse strives to help patients from infants to seniors achieve optimum health, naturally. Serving Westfield and the surrounding area since 1987, he runs Westfield Chiropractic – a family-oriented practice with an emphasis on wellness and prevention.

“Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, Westfield Chiropractic emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Growing up in Winfield Park, New Jersey, Dr. Whitehouse attended Rutgers University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He then went on to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree at Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia, graduating Valedictorian in 1988. 

A member of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors, the doctor earned board certification through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. It is a non-profit national and international testing organization for the chiropractic profession that develops, administers, analyzes, scores, and reports results from various examinations.

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain and back pain. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself without the use of medication or surgery.
