Get to know Dentist Dr. Suzanne D. Shapero, who serves patients in Baldwinsville, New York.

Dr. Shapero is a family and cosmetic dentist who has experience and training in the best dental treatments and technologies. A firm believer that good dental health starts with a positive dental experience, she has been providing care to patients of all ages at her private practice in Baldwinsville, New York since 2004. 

“Being a dentist is so much more than “fixing teeth”. You have to treat the whole person. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to help so many wonderful people. The relationships that I’ve built with my patients and their families are the reason I chose this profession. It has always been my focus to make each patient feel at home when they come to me for treatment and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve.” as stated by Dr. Shapero.

Originally from the Pittsburgh area, she is a 1998 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. That same year, she moved to Syracuse to complete a General Practice Residency within the Division of General Surgery at Upstate University Hospital. She has practiced in the Syracuse area since 1999.

For the purpose of enhancing a strong knowledge base, she regularly participates in continuing education and stays current on the latest technologies and dental techniques. This allows her to help patients choose from the best available treatments and achieve optimal results.

“I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and it is always such an honor to know that I have made a difference in so many of my patients’ lives. I couldn’t ask for a better job or for a better group of people to be sharing their smiles with me.” said Dr. Shapero. 

In addition to being President of the Onondaga County Dental Society, she is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
