Get to know Family Physician Dr. Garbis Apelian, who serves patients in Van Nuys, California.

Described as a kind and caring family physician, Dr. Apelian sees patients at his private practice – Apelian Medical, Inc. – in Van Nuys, California. He offers primary care services for all members of the family – from children to seniors.

Locally affiliated with Northridge Hospital Medical Center, his specialties include family medicine, check-up, contraception, family planning, immunization, influenza, weight loss, and more.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Apelian graduated with his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2005. He then went on to perform his residency in family medicine at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.

Subsequent to his education, he obtained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Continuously advancing his efforts, Dr. Apelian is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
