Get to know Internist Dr. Piotr Kulikowski, who serves patients in St. Louis, Missouri.

Fluent in both English and Polish, Dr. Kulikowski is a board-certified internist focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic. At present, he treats adults with physical and mental health ailments in his office at Clayton Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

In his current capacity, he is the Medical Director at Bethesda Dilworth, which is the largest skilled nursing community (“nursing home”) in St. Louis. He also remains affiliated with a number of hospitals, including St. Luke’s Des Peres Hospital, SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, SSM Rehabilitation Hospital, and SSM Health St. Clare Hospital – Fenton.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Kulikowski obtained his medical degree from Jagiellonian University Medical College in Poland in 1998. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to serve his residency in internal medicine at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis.

Following his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

An authority in his field, Dr. Kulikowski has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors throughout her 20+ year career, including Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015), Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2012, 2013, 2014), and On-Time Doctor Award (2014).
