Her prior experience as a general surgeon provides her with the additional capability and expertise to preserve the reproductive organs to accomplish a pregnancy and to treat symptomatic conditions that can impair the quality of life without having to have a hysterectomy.
Due to her own history of infertility issues, she understands the emotional struggles involved and her priority is to be emotionally supportive to her patients.
“I love helping people to accomplish their dreams of having a family. I try to offer as a doctor, what I would like to have as a patient. I believe in compassion and empathy. I love my profession and helping people any way I can” as stated by Dr. Gondra.
Originally from Argentina, she earned her medical degree as a general surgeon from the University of Buenos Aires. In 2001, frustrated with the socioeconomic situation in Argentina, she moved to the United States. It took her 4 years to learn English and validate her medical degree in the United States.
At the time of choosing a residency, she opted for women’s care. She did her residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where she fell in love with infertility and minimally invasive gynecological surgery and joined the team of Heartland Center for Reproductive Medicine. There, she received excellent training in infertility and reproductive endocrinology.
In 2011, due to her love of the outdoors and her passion for cycling, Dr. Gondra decided to move to Phoenix, Arizona, where after a few years she started her own practice, Gondra Center for Reproductive Care & Advanced Gynecology.
Among her other roles, she can be found on staff at Honor Health Scottsdale Shea Medical Center.
