San Francisco, California – Leslie Kardos, MD, FACOG, MIGS, a renowned gynecologist and minimally invasive gynecological surgeon, is making significant strides in women’s health through her innovative practices and unwavering commitment to patient care. As the Founder and CEO of Pacific Gynecology Surgical Group, Dr. Kardos has dedicated over 30 years to advancing the field of gynecology, offering a comprehensive range of services including robotic surgery, single-incision surgery, vaginal reconstruction, menopause management, sexual health and wellness , laser hair removal, and the groundbreaking MonaLisa Touch treatment for vaginal atrophy. 

In her role as Director of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery at Sutter Health California Pacific Medical Center, Dr. Kardos has distinguished herself as a leader in robotic surgery, successfully performing over 1,400 procedures. Her expertise not only enhances patient outcomes but also positions her as a thought leader in this rapidly evolving field. 

Dr. Kardos is passionate about education and the next generation of surgeons. She holds academic appointments as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and the University of California, San Francisco. As a proctor for INTUITIVE, she trains aspiring surgeons in minimally invasive techniques, ensuring the perpetuation of excellence in surgical practices.

A proud San Francisco native, Dr. Kardos completed her Bachelor of Arts in Physiology at the University of California, Berkeley in 1985 before earning her Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1990. Her residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center culminated in her role as Administrative Chief Resident from 1993 to 1994. In 2022, she further solidified her expertise by becoming a Fellow in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Active in several professional organizations, Dr. Kardos is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of various surgical societies, including the San Francisco Medical Society, the San Francisco Gynecological Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons, and the Society of Robotic Surgery. Her dedication to women’s health has earned her numerous accolades, including Top Doctor awards from San Francisco Magazine and the prestigious Female Master Surgeon Making a Difference Award in 2020.

Outside of her professional achievements, Dr. Kardos enjoys skiing and Argentine tango, with Paris being her favorite vacation destination. Her holistic approach to life and work exemplifies her commitment to not only advancing women’s health but also fostering a well-rounded personal life.
