There she was part of the National Medical Association. After obtaining her medical degree she completed her internship and residency with Howard University.

The mission of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women's health.
