Get to know General Surgeon-Surgical Oncologist Dr. KM Lin-Hurtubise, who serves patients in California. 

Dr. Lin-Hurtubise is a highly-trained general surgeon/surgical oncologist who performs surgical procedures to treat conditions affecting the neck, chest, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, skin and related structures. He is affiliated with Valor Oncology (Medical Group) in Redding-Chico, CA and Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii (US Army Reserves).

His surgical specialty encompasses malignant neoplasms of the Breast, melanoma-sarcoma, liver-bile ducts, pancreas-spleen, thyroid-adrenal gland, stomach-esophagus, and the colon-rectum. General surgeons are able to handle almost any surgical (trauma) or critical care emergency, and are proficient in upper/lower endoscopy. Dr. Lin provides quality surgical care for gravely ill or injured patients and is able to respond emergently due to his capability for various life-saving surgical procedures.

With a broad educational medical background, Dr. Lin-Hurtubise graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine- Omaha, NE in 1991 and pursued general surgery internship plus residency respectively at the University of Connecticut Health Center- John Dempsey Hospital (Farmington) & Hartford Hospital and Providence Hospital & Medical Centers- Southfield, MI completed in 1996, followed by a research fellowship (Lynch Syndrome) at Creighton University Medical Center and attending-staff work experience at Doctor’s Regional Medical Center in SE Missouri, concluding with an additional year of postgraduate clinical training in surgical oncology at the University of Missouri-Columbia/Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in 2000.

Dedicated to surgical excellence, this physician is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS), an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. Furthering his professional development, Dr. Lin-Hurtubise is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO).
