Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Janelle Taylor-Thomas, who serves patients in Woodlawn, Maryland.

Dr. Taylor-Thomas is a friendly and compassionate obstetrician-gynecologist. She joined Kaiser Permanente Woodlawn Medical Center because she believes in the mission statement to serve the community with high-quality care. And she is able to do that alongside like-minded physicians.

Along with minimally invasive surgery, such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, she has special interests in adolescent medicine/gynecology, high risk obstetrics, gynecological surgery, family planning, and contraceptive management.

“I love being a physician because every day, I am able not only to impact the lives of my patients, but also to learn and grow with and from them. I can honestly say being a physician is my passion!” expressed Dr. Taylor-Thomas.

A graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., she performed her internship and residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

In addition to being a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists & the American Medical Association, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

In her professional experience, Dr. Taylor-Thomas is affiliated with UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Medstar Washington Hospital Center, and Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.
