The textbook sequence of getting teeth is based on the general population and there can be exceptions - if the lack of order is due to teeth not forming that is a problem. At age nine a child usually has the four first molars, the upper and lower central and lateral incisors and may have the lower cuspids, upper cuspid usually erupt around 11 or 12 years of age.
