Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Jeffers graduated with his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Parkland Hospital – UT Southwestern.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Jeffers has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2017, 2014), and On-Time Doctor Award (2018, 2014).
A native of Alabama, he now lives in Fort Worth with his wife. He enjoys spending his free time with his four children and twelve grandchildren, and likes being outdoors and watching football.
