With a genuine concern for all children and their unique needs, Dr. Armstrong maintains a professional membership with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentist, the American Dental Association, as well as the local New Jersey Dental Association. In addition to her private practice, she has worked in Philadelphia at the Temple Episcopal Pediatric Dental Residency Program for over four years as an Attending Instructor, helping to train future pediatric dentists. 

Originally from Belzoni, Mississippi, she graduated from Idaho’s Boise State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska in 2000. Upon graduation, she attended Maimonides Medical Center, where she completed her residency in pediatric dentistry.

For the purpose of staying on the cutting-edge of clinical advancements in her field, Dr. Armstrong became board-certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, whose mission is to certify pediatric dentists through a voluntary examination process that continuously validates their knowledge, skills, and experience for delivering quality patient outcomes. 

Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. Pediatric dentists are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. They have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood. Children begin to get their baby teeth during the first 6 months of life.
