A native of Hungary, Dr. Tanyi graduated with his medical degree from the University of Debrecen Medical School in 1993. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine, and his fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in gynecologic oncology & obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), he is an active member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, and the European Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians.

In the State of Pennsylvania, Dr. Tanyi can be found on staff at Chester County Hospital, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.

Alongside his clinical role, he serves as an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
