About

Mukhtar "Muki" Ramsey is an acupuncturist and meditation coach practicing in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Ramsey evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine. Acupuncturists complete their evaluations by getting a patient history, looking at the tongue, and by taking the patient's pulse at the wrists. They then place very fine acupuncture needles into specific points on the body. Stimulating these points and nerves is how Dr. Ramsey treats the patients condition. Many of the bodys systems respond to acupuncture, and it can treat physical pain as well as emotional stress.

As a meditation coach, Dr. Ramsey teaches his beginner students of meditation a way for them to heal their emotions and calm their minds through a conceptual understanding of life's core truths, which is called "Insight Practice," or "Contemplation." As his students make progress, Dr. Ramsey teaches them the art of "Mindfulness," which is the practice of choosing these core truths throughout their daily lives, such that new attitudes are developed, allowing for greater states of peace and contentment. For more advanced students, deeper states of spiritual awakening are achieved through the art of "Concentration," and through the work of opening energy flow through the body, in a practice known as "Energetics." Finally, Dr. Ramsey teaches "Communion Practice" to his most advanced students, which is the simple yet tricky are of remaining in a "flow state," such that deep states of profound joy and even bliss can be discovered in their relationships with themselves, other people, the Earth, and with the Transcendent Awareness that binds us all together as One.
