A native of Boca Raton, Florida, Dr. Salamon pursued his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University in New York City, where he majored in History and Pre-Medical Sciences. He graduated with honors, including Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s List, and multiple awards at graduation. He then attended medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York where he served as a student peer tutor and graduated with Distinction in Research for Cardiovascular Diseases.
Upon graduation, Dr. Salamon completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Jacobi Medical Center, and Montefiore Medical Center. With a long list of honors and awards throughout his training, he was named Fellow Teacher of the Year at Jacobi Medical Center and chosen to serve in leadership roles both locally and regionally. He also received both local and national research awards, including the Jay N. Cohn New Investigator Award from the Heart Failure Society of America.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiology, and nuclear cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
“My father has always been an inspiration to me, both personally and professionally. I grew up watching my father devote his time and resources towards caring for others at all hours of the day and night.
