Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Cynthia Abbott, who serves the Atlanta, Georgia area at her private practice, Dermatology Affiliates, and several area hospitals. Prior to earning her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Abbott earned a master’s degree in Medical Art Illustration from Medical College of Georgia. She continued her medical studies with an internship in pediatrics at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Later, she completed a dermatology residency with Ohio State University. Dr. Abbott has been board certified by the the American Board of Dermatology. In addition to her practice at Dermatology Affiliates, Dr. Abbott is affiliated with the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, which allows her to treat a wide variety of patients. She ensures that any treatments she conducts for patients are aesthetically pleasing. With expertise in both pediatric and cosmetic dermatology, she sees a wide range of patients throughout her day-to-day experience. To stay up-to-date on developments in her field, Dr. Abbott maintains professional memberships in prestigious medical organizations, including becoming a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
