Get to know Board Certified General Surgeon Dr. Aravind Rangaraj, who serves patients throughout the State of California.

A prominent general surgeon, Dr. Rangaraj specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including Robotic and Laparoscopic surgeries. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery(ABS) and practices in the state of California. He has over 20 years of focused experience in the field of surgery, and treats Hernia, Gallbladder disease and conditions of the Small Intestine, Colon, Appendix, Thyroid, Ano-rectal and Breast. He also performs surgeries for various types of cancer.

Dr. Rangaraj believes that every patient deserves the highest quality of care in a compassionate and professional environment, and strives to achieve that through a personalized approach to treatment.

Dr. Rangaraj did his residency at Lahey Clinic/ Tufts University, Boston MA and Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. His other academic pursuits include research and clinical fellowships at Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He has several publications in prestigious medical journals. He completed Medical School from Bangalore Medical College, India.

He practices at Regional Medical Center and O’Connor Hospital in San Jose,

St. Louise Hospital, in Gilroy and Advanced Surgicare in Santa Clara.  He also serves as a Preceptor for third and fourth year medical students from Kansas City University.

Robotic, Laparoscopic and conventional surgeries performed by Dr. Rangaraj include but are not limited to Cholecystectomy, Inguinal, Ventral and  Umbilical Hernia repair,  Appendectomy, Bowel resection and Anastomosis, Colectomy, Anal fistulotomy, thyroidectomy, Mastectomy Dialysis access, Lipoma surgery, Hemorrhoidectomy Gastrectomy, Nissen Fundoplication, Vagotomy / acid reduction surgery and wound care. He is proficient in these procedures and has maintained excellent short and long term outcomes.

Dr. Rangaraj speaks English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and has Interpreter services in several other languages.
