For a remarkable seven years, she served as the director of this esteemed foundation. Furthermore, she holds an executive position within the Epilepsy Society of the Caribbean, an organization that strives to offer epilepsy education and facilitate access to care across the Caribbean region. Additionally, Dr. Haynes is a distinguished member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
Dr. Haynes' passion for neuropsychology was ignited by her personal experience with her father, a successful ob/gyn and surgeon, who suffered a stroke and embarked on his own journey of rehabilitation. Witnessing his determination to regain his motor skills and witnessing his remarkable progress served as a profound source of inspiration for her. Eager to make a difference in the lives of others and contribute to their rehabilitation, she initially embarked on a career as a clinical psychologist. However, during the course of her assessments, she discovered that patients exhibited greater motivation and she derived immense satisfaction from observing their progress.
