Before embarking on his professional journey, he completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, followed by medical school at the prestigious Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. After earning his medical degree, he honed his skills during his residency at New York Orthopedic Hospital and New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, where he gained invaluable experience in orthopedic surgery. He further advanced his expertise by completing a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.

As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon recognized by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Gordon is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of orthopedic advancements. His dedication to the field is underscored by his recognition as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an accolade reserved for the top medical students in the nation.
