Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Christine Brass-Jones, who serves patients in Mesa, Arizona.
A trusted obstetrician-gynecologist with over three decades of experience, Dr. Brass-Jones has served as the Medical Director and Co-Owner of the Center for True Harmony Wellness & Medicine since the practice opened in 2004. She shows women in Mesa, Arizona, how to heal their minds, bodies, and spirits through health care that truly integrates conventional western medicine with naturopathic and holistic techniques.
At her OB/GYN practice, she believes that education, trust, and preparation begin the path to a healthy journey.
Dr. Brass-Jones teaches women that as they embrace a healthy lifestyle, their labor, deliveries, and babies will follow in the same manner, because a healthy mom leads to having a healthy baby. While she fully supports natural childbirth, it’s not always the answer, so she helps each woman weigh the options to make the best decision for her health.
Graduating with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in 1995, Dr. Brass-Jones went on to further her training. She performed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mesa General Hospital in 1996 and 2000, respectively.
Thereafter, in 2007, she attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG). The AOBOG is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) who specialize in the care of the female reproductive tract and children during the course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period (obstetricians) and to qualified DOs who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive tract (gynecologists).
A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Brass-Jones is affiliated with Banner Desert Medical Center and Banner Gateway Medical Center.
Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
