Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Sandy H. Yeum, who serves patients in Livingston, New Jersey.

A competent physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Yeum is affiliated with Summit Medical Group of New Jersey, serving patients in the Livingston area. She believes in patient-centered care that focuses on diagnosis, health management, and wellness through all stages of a woman’s life, including adolescence, pregnancy, menopause, and after menopause.

Graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rutgers University, she earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hahnemann University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Before joining Summit Medical Group of New Jersey, Dr. Yeum practiced privately with Pitman, Klachko, and Yeum, LLC, in West Orange, New Jersey.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Among her most notable achievements, Dr. Yeum has been the recipient of the Top Doctor Award by NJ Top Docs (2018, 2017), Patients’ Choice Award (2015, 2014, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015, 2014, 2011, 2010, 2009).

When she is not working with her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as reading, shopping, and cooking.
