Graduating with her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1994, Dr. Matos went on to further her training. She performed her residency in psychiatry and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Puerto Rico in 1998 and 1999, respectively. 

Licensed to practice medicine in Puerto Rico, she has nearly three decades of experience in the field of medicine.
