A member of Radiology Partners, the largest radiology network in the United States, SMIL Southwest Medical Imaging is recognized as one of the most respected radiology practices in the country with over 35 years of advancing technology, independent research, and world-class patient care. It provides state-of-the-art diagnostic medical imaging and interventional radiology through 12 outpatient centers. The physician-owned and physician-led practice has over 50 radiology physicians, each one fellowship-trained in one of 10 different imaging specialties, and many hold additional academic positions in leading institutions.
Graduating with his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Bhowra went on to further his training. He performed his residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, followed by his fellowship in body imaging at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Completing his training in 2019, the doctor attained board certification in diagnostic radiology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Bhowra serves as a Clinical Assistant within the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.
