Priyanka T. Bhattacharya is a Hospitalist and Internal Medicine Physician currently serving patients within Mercy Philadelphia Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The John Derrickson Award is named after the organization’s former Chapter Executive Director and recognizes an early career physician of the Chapter whose volunteerism, energy, and initiative advanced the mission and goals of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Bhattacharya is an experienced and respected board certified internal medicine clinician, dedicated to treating a wide range of medical conditions. She is also an academic hospitalist, heavily invested in Mercy Catholic Medical Center residency program, contributing to resident mentoring, and program development along with engaging in clinical research. Alongside her practice, she serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine, and is also involved in cardiopulmonary research with the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
