Get to know Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Andres Bustillo, who serves patients in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Bustillo is a board certified, Castle Connolly Top Doctor, fellowship trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, making him one of the few subspecialists in the South Florida area. He is sought after by patients who want to rejuvenate the delicate face and neck area with refined and long-lasting results and non-surgical solutions. 

Providing the most advanced and time-proven techniques available today, Dr. Bustillo is well known for his natural and conservative results both in facial rejuvenation procedures and rhinoplasty. He is also able to restore lost volume in the face and create a more youthful and fresh appearance with the use of dermal fillers. 

Recognized as one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in Miami, Dr. Bustillo is a nose job specialist with extensive experience in working with patients of all different ethnic backgrounds, including Caucasian, African American, Asian, and Hispanic patients. With his expertise and artistry, even minor tweaks to the nose can result in dramatic cosmetic improvements to the entire face.

Approximately 25% of Dr. Bustillo’s patients come from outside the United States from the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Europe. Almost 10% of his patients are doctors and their families, and his signature deep plane facelift is sought out by patients locally and internationally.

Attending Boston University for undergraduate education, Dr. Bustillo graduated magna cum laude. He then attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) and completed a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital, one of the nation’s top otolaryngology programs. 

Continuing his training, Dr. Bustillo completed one of the most sought-after fellowships in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the combined New York University School of Medicine-Weill Cornell Medical College Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Program. There, he trained with Manhattan’s best plastic surgeons.

Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Bustillo is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Operating with trust, integrity and safety, he holds dual board certification by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery & the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Facial plastic surgery is a multidisciplinary specialty largely driven by otolaryngology but includes oral maxillary surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, and plastic surgery. A facial plastic surgeon has a strong knowledge of facial anatomy and is highly skilled in procedures concerning the head and neck, either cosmetic or reconstructive.

Apart from his private practice, Dr. Bustillo continues to provide care for those less fortunate. He is a member of the Face to Face Foundation and the Faces of Honor. These are national non-profit organizations for which he volunteers to provide care to help victims of domestic violence and scarred war veterans, respectively.

He has traveled to Kenya, with the World Medical Mission to repair cleft lip and palate defects in children. He also travels yearly to Guatemala, with the Emmaus Medical Mission to repair cleft lip and palate defects in children.

Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Bustillo has written and published numerous articles and book chapters focusing on aesthetic facial surgery. He has also been featured in numerous television programs and magazines, and is a regular speaker on local radio stations where he speaks about the latest trends in facial plastic surgery.
