Having personally performed thousands of surgical and refractive procedures, Dr. Bevacqua is highly regarded among his peers as being a premier eye surgeon, receiving surgical referrals from regional ophthalmologists. 

He performs state-of-the-art surgery, including no-stitch cataract surgery and custom cornea LASIK, as well as has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

Academically, Dr. Bevacqua received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1989 and his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1994. Following medical school, he completed a three-year residency in ophthalmology at Nassau County Medical Center in New York where he trained in medicine and surgery of the eyes and served as chief resident. He also spent several years during his training at a regional trauma center treating traumatic eye injuries. 

A Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.

In the state of New Jersey, Dr. Bevacqua is affiliated with Ridgedale Surgery Center, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Englewood Hospital, Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center, and Holy Name Medical Center.
