Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Irene Mazur, who serves patients in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Recognized as a Top Psychiatrist of 2022 by Women in Medicine, Dr. Mazur tends to children, adolescents, and adults at the Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry provides a full spectrum of outpatient psychiatric and psycho-therapeutic services for children, adults, and elderly. Its mission is to help adults, adolescents, and the elderly restore their mental health, and they have successfully done this for over two decades in New Jersey and over a decade in Florida, by taking a team approach to addressing the individual needs of clients.

In Ukraine, Dr. Mazur graduated with her medical degree from Ternopil State Medical University in 1992. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency in psychiatry at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2007. She also completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the said establishment in 2011.

On a professional level, she is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association. It is the main professional organization of psychiatrists and trainee psychiatrists in the United States, and the largest psychiatric organization in the world.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results.
