Hal C. Danzer, MD, FACOG is a reproductive endocrinologist seeing patients at Southern California Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Danzer is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductive endocrinologist. He is the co-founder and partner of the Southern California Reproductive Center (SCRC) in Beverly Hills, California. Widely acclaimed as one of the best fertility centers to treat infertility problems, SCRC is a reproductive clinic from diagnosis to delivery.
Dr. Danzer co-founded SCRC in 2000, envisioning and creating a fertility center that provides patients the highest quality in laboratory science and clinical care. He finds that the personalized continuity of care approach at the SCRC helps to reduce anxiety and creates a sense of confidence that his patients appreciate.
Dr. Danzer serves on UCLA’s Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship Program. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine. Among his hospital appointments, Dr. Danzer holds the positions of reproductive endocrinologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Danzer is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. To become a Fellow, candidates must become certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Danzer is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that board certifies obstetricians and gynecologists (OB-GYNS) and offers continuing certification to OB-GYNS in the United States and Canada. Board certification is a voluntary process for those physicians who choose to pursue certification.
As the grandson of a midwife and the son of a hospital administrator, Dr. Danzer’s family has a long history of nurturing women’s health and fertility. As the spouse of a psychologist, he has a keen understanding of the importance of listening and being attuned to his patients’ emotional needs throughout their journey to becoming parents.
Dr. Danzer earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco where he developed an interest in endocrinology. He then attended the St. Louis University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree, cum laude. Thereafter, he was elected to the National Medical Honor Society, AOA. After his internship at the University of Southern California Women’s Hospital Medical Center, he went on to complete his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, followed by a two-year fellowship program in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the USC/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
A longtime expert on women’s health issues, Dr. Danzer has co-authored books and written numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Fertility and Sterility and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a renowned fertility researcher, he applies strategies that enhance a patient’s chances of having a successful pregnancy, reduce the potential for miscarriages, avoid the complications associated with multiple births, as well as lower the risk of genetic disorders.
