Regarding his educational background, Dr. Mawn received his medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia and served his internship at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, the world’s largest naval base with over 100 home-ported ships, associated base personnel and their families. He then completed his residency at Walter Reed Army Hospital and Bethesda Naval Medical Center.
The doctor is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
