Dr. Zayouna is a practicing gastroenterologist holding privileges at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital – Clinton Township in Michigan.

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital provides comprehensive acute and tertiary care. Specialty services include a Heart & Vascular Institute, a comprehensive Joint Replacement Center, Henry Ford Cancer Institute, a Women’s Health Center, along with a Birthing Center that features 18 labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum suites. The hospital also has a 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation program, an ambulatory and minimally invasive surgery center and leading diagnostic imaging, along with advanced trauma capabilities and emergency services.

Maintaining membership status, he is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Journal of Gastroenterology.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas in 2009. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Ascension Providence Hospital in 2012 and 2015, respectively. 

An authority in his field, Dr. Zayouna is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. A gastroenterologist is a physician who has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
