Dr. Wohlgelernter trained in cardiology at Yale and served on the Yale medical school faculty for two years before joining the UCLA faculty in 1985. Board- Certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Wohlgelernter has also appeared on The Discovery Channel as a cardiology commentator and has testified in the wrongful death case involving Michael Jackson.
