An Indian native, Dr. Hussain earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS) from GMC Osmania University in 1983. After relocating to the United States, he pursued his internship at the University of Health Sciences Finch School of Medicine in 1990, and his residency in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School BVAMC/MASS Mental Health Center in 1993. Later, in 1995, he completed his fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in psychiatry & child and adolescent psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Hussain worked at Adventist Glenoaks Hospital (2004-2006), Streamwood Behavioral Health at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital (2002-2005), Advocate Bethany Hospital (2002-2006), Abbott Laboratories, Eli Lilly and Company, Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer US Pharmaceuticals (2000-2005), Rock Creek Center (2000-2002), Advocate Ravenswood Hospital (2000-2002), and at Charter Behavioral Health System (1995-1996).
To boot, he served as a Consulting Psychiatrist at Wellness Center Student Health Loyola University Chicago (2002-2007), Hamdard Center for Health and Human Services (2003-2007), Central Illinois Medical Review Agency (1996-2007), C4 Community Counseling Centers Of Chicago (1994-2000), Travelers and Immigrants Aid Heartland Alliance Bosnian Mental Health Program (2006-2007), Counseling Centers of Lakeview (1996-1999), Department of Corrections Illinois Youth Center (1993-1997), Anchor HMO/Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center (1995-1996), and at Cook County Hospital (1994-1995).
