DuPage Medical Group was formed in 1999 when three healthcare groups serving the western suburbs of Chicago since the 1960s joined together. A 1986 graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University in Syria, Dr. Baridi went on to complete his internship at Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital in Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales. From there, he relocated to the United States to further his training. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, followed by his fellowship in hematology & oncology at Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School.
With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the North Center Cancer Treatment Group, the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the National Surgical Breast and Bowel Project, and the Southwest Oncology Group. He is also affiliated with several hospitals in his local area, including Palos Community Hospital & Silver Cross Hospital.

Recognized as an expert in his field, Dr. Baridi has published several articles throughout his line of work, including ascorbic acid level in plasma and urine in sickle cell patients abstract (Jan 1, 2000), and Ascorbic acid level in RBCs and plasma of sickle cell patients and its role as reducing agents and effect on sickle cell crisis (Jan 1, 2000).
Outside of practicing medicine, he enjoys boating. He is also interested in health and fitness.
