Dr. Leslie is a knowledgeable physician who has been practicing medicine for over three decades. He is dedicated to giving the time to treat all his patients as individuals at his offices throughout New Jersey.

His key areas of interest include EHR development, telemedicine, medical/healthcare application development, substance abuse rehabilitation, occupational medicine development, population health management, and public health programming.

Academically, Dr. Leslie graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1985.  

After a few years in private practice, he founded Mahwah Medical in 1987. Dr. Leslie served as the medical director for almost three decades, practicing internal medicine, occupational medicine, and non operative orthopedics. He also served as the Director of Occupational Medicine for Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York.

While in practice, he was designated by the FAA to be an Aviation Medical Examiner in which he performed physicals on pilots. He was also certified as a medical review officer by the American Association of Medical Review Officers.

After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Dr. Leslie dedicated himself to becoming an expert in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and the achievement of successful active lifestyles. Today, using his knowledge of and personal journey with MS as a foundation, he is focused on projects in Orthopedics, Population Health Management, Specialty Health Advising, and the integration of Technology and Healthcare Management. 

Musculoskeletal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. Physicians specializing in musculoskeletal medicine manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Actively involved in community affairs for many years, Dr. Leslie was a two-term President of the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce, the police physician for the Township of Mahwah for over two decades, and advised many local corporations on medical issues.

A brilliant author, he wrote “Convictions: A Tale of Punishment, Justice, and Love” - a love story, offering readers a harrowing glimpse into America’s broken criminal justice system and gives a voice to the incarcerated who live in the shadows.
