Dr. Griffiths is a practicing pediatrician whose clinical interests include sleep issues, asthma, allergies and eczema. He is in practice with The Children’s Clinic, seeing patients mostly at the Main Street office located in Newport News, Virginia.

The Children’s Clinic, Ltd. is the oldest, continuous pediatric practice on the Peninsula, providing care to the Hampton Roads area since 1937 with four convenient offices throughout the area.  It is dedicated to the highest standard of pediatric care.

With nine pediatricians and a full-time lactation consultant, Children’s Clinic can assist in every area of a child’s care from birth through age 21. In addition to regular business hours, there is also an on-call physician 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

A 1995 graduate of the Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Griffiths went on to perform his internship at Boston City Hospital and completed his residency in pediatrics through the Boston Combined Residency Program.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Dr. Griffiths is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature. 

Having been in practice for over 25 years, Dr. Griffiths is the recipient of Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014, 2015), and On-Time Doctor Award (2014, 2015, 2016).

Originally from Pennsylvania, he is married and has two sons. He enjoys reading, cooking, and anything that gets him outdoors.
