Dr. Baker is a prominent, New York-based plastic surgeon with a practice on the Upper East Side. Having been performing plastic surgery for over three decades, his early years were devoted to microsurgery and limb reattachment as well as head and neck cancer reconstruction. The past 20 years, the majority of his surgery has been aesthetic face, nose, eyelids, breast, body sculpting, and liposuction. However, he continues to dedicate time to facial cancer and facial paralysis reconstruction.

“Plastic surgery can accomplish major changes and improvements in the face, nose, eyes, breasts and body. If the proportions and aesthetic lines are kept normal, the results will be natural, which is what most patients desire. I perform all surgery myself without assistants, and you will look natural” expressed the doctor. 

His hospital affiliations include Bellevue Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear And Throat Hospital, and Lenox Hill Hospital.

Having been teaching plastic surgeons for over 25 years, he has been invited to lecture and perform surgical demonstrations for plastic surgeons in over 30 countries around the world. Every year, he lectures and teaches at numerous national meetings in the United States and international meetings around the world.

Graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College, Dr. Baker went on to earn his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. His post-graduate training included a residency in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, a residency in plastic surgery at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, and a fellowship in head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

With a focus on cosmetic procedures, he is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
