Beverly A. Mikes, MD, FACOG, is an obstetrician and gynecologist who diagnoses and treats patients at The Hughes Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Since joining the practice in 2016, she has been instrumental in the establishment of the practice’s feminine rejuvenation program. With a passion for aesthetics, she provides a full scope of non-invasive med-spa services designed to enhance sexual function and restore vaginal health. Dr. Mikes remains committed to achieving her patients’ aesthetic goals while enhancing their natural beauty. Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Beverly A. Mikes, who serves patients in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
With a desire to help patients improve their quality of life while restoring sexual well-being and confidence in intimate relationships, Dr. Mikes joined The Hughes Center in 2016. She helped launch its feminine rejuvenation program, successfully bringing her expertise to scores of women.
Since joining The Hughes Center, she has fallen in love with the aesthetic aspect of the practice and offers a full range of non-invasive services in the med spa. Highly skilled and gifted with an artistic eye, she is also known for her attention to detail and gentle touch as she provides patients with treatments focused on a vibrant, refreshed yet natural look. Her welcoming and open demeanor puts patients immediately at ease.
Growing up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Mikes graduated with her high school diploma from Cherry Hill High School West. She then attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where she was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology-Psychology.
After receiving her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 1993, she completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. She has over twenty years of clinical experience both in private practice as well at a large university/teaching institution.
Over the years, Dr. Mikes has narrowed her focus, specializing in gynecology and office gynecologic procedures. Her clinical interests include, but are not limited to, menopausal management, sexual function, preventative health, and regenerative and complementary medicine. She is committed to helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals all while enhancing their natural beauty.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause. Additionally, they work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and into postpartum.
