Dr. Ronin graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1987, giving him over three decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree he completed his internal medicine internship with the Northshore University Health System followed by his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency with the Rehabilitation Institute Of Chicago. Wanting to further his training he then completed his Occupational Medicine residency with the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Ronin is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Ronin currently practices as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician with the Advocate Medical Group and is affiliated with the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he holds an expertise in Brain Injury, Electrodiagnostic Testing, Electromyography, Occupational Medicine, Oncologic Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation, and Stroke. Dr. Ronin is bilingual and is fluent in both Russian and English. Physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), also known as physiatry or rehabilitation medicine, aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.
