Educated in Romania, Dr. Froicu graduated with her medical degree from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She then relocated to the United States, obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Penn State University in 2006.
Furthering her education, she completed her postdoctoral fellowship in immunology at Yale University School of Medicine in 2009, her internship in internal medicine at Hospital of Saint Raphael in 2010, and her residency in diagnostic radiology at Hartford Hospital in 2015. She then performed her fellowship and served as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center from July 2015 until June 2016.
An authority in her field, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Teaching medical students, Dr. Froicu has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine since July of 2018.
