To this day, she continues to hone her skills by learning new techniques and exploring new technology as it is made available. Currently, she is serving the citizens of Texas as the Texas State Senator for District 24. 

Since her election, she has focused her attention on improving public education, keeping taxes low, strengthening border security, and defending life. Her commitment to service and recognition for her work has allowed her to hold leadership positions in local, state, and national organizations.
