Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Kemunto Mokaya, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

Dr. Kemunto Mokaya, also known as Dr. Kemmy, is a highly respected board-certified dermatologist currently affiliated with Complete Dermatology in Texas. With over a decade of clinical practice in dermatology, she has provided care for a vast number of patients. Her expertise covers a wide range of dermatological areas, including medical, surgical, ethnic, and cosmetic dermatology. Notably, she incorporates evidence-based lifestyle interventions like nutrition, exercise, and stress management into her patient care approach.

Known for being thorough and detail-oriented, her patients appreciate her infectious smile, outstanding bedside demeanor, and caring personality. Her high patient satisfaction scores have earned her accolades, including the “Top Doctors” recognition.

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Dr. Kemmy pursued her undergraduate studies at Yale University in the United States. She then went on to earn her medical degree and Master of Health Science degree (MHS) at the Yale School of Medicine, before completing her internship in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, which is affiliated with Harvard. Later, she completed her dermatology residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).

Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), the doctor attained board certification in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology, which is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.

Moreover, she holds a diplomat status with the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and has been part of the Harvard Surgical Leadership Program and the ASDS Future Leaders Network. In her capacity as a medical expert, she volunteers for the Albinism Society of Kenya.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kemmy is working on developing a platinum-level skincare line, with a mission to help people achieve healthy, radiant skin, boost their confidence, age gracefully, and look their best. She is also a mindset coach, international speaker, best-selling author, and podcast host. Her podcast, “Live and Look Younger,” is a testament to her dedication to sharing valuable insights.
