He is the owner and operator of Advanced Physical Medicine in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, where he strives to provide patients with the best pain management care.

The doctor prescribes pain medication to relieve symptoms; however, his intention is that they be for a limited duration. His main focus is on identifying the source of the pain, rather than just masking it with medications. He uses various traditional and non-traditional treatments such as ultrasound guided injections, physical therapy, and medical acupuncture and other services to help patients achieve lasting relief and a pain-free high quality of life. 

Born and raised in Detroit, Dr. Wilson graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy and earned his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Detroit Medical Center, followed by his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital in Chicago.

In practice since 1997, his current affiliations include Beaumont Hospital Grosse Pointe and St. John Hospital & Medical Center. 

He is board-certified in both pain medicine and physical medicine & rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, which was established in 1947 as the certifying body for the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties. 

The recipient of numerous national and local accolades, Dr. Wilson received the prestigious honor of being named as one of Hour Detroit Magazine’s “Top Docs”, as voted on by peers and nurses (2005 and 2006). He has also been named one of “America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumers Research Council of America each year since 2004. 

A highly respected member of the medical community, he received a proclamation award from the Mayor of St. Clair Shores. He was recognized for his dedication to his patients, for his efforts to educate the public, as well as for being a positive role model in the community.
